We started as still photographers - Whirligig grew from our love of making images. It seemed only natural that we'd move into, well, moving pictures. With the advent of drones, our idea became reality. We love the idea of creating video stories, either for businesses or otherwise. Everyone has a story to tell. That's our strength, our goal. Videographer/Pilot
Tom's background in newspaper photography is a great training ground for the unexpected. It taught him to be quick on his feet and to plan for any eventuality- all of which comes in handy on any video shoot. With over 25 years of experience, he's well-versed in technique and skill. He's also a master at Photoshop being a self-described tech nerd! Tom is our FAA-licensed remote pilot.
Director/Producer
Melissa is the owner and founder of multiple small businesses. As the principal in Melissa Grimes-Guy Location Photography, Inc., her visual work spans over 25 years. Her client list includes such local companies as Shore Health System, 1880 Bank, Shore Bancshares, Avon Dixon, Dorchester Tourism, and CBiz to regional names such as Cross Keys, The Scout Guide, AARP and the University of Maryland. She co-founded a print and web design studio, Rockfish Media Group, and looks forward to finding time to take a good nap!
